My trip with State Of Art

Hello guys,

It’s been a while since I posted something on the blog but I was so busy with some new projects and collaborations :).
One of those collaborations was with Dutch brand State Of Art.

As you guys could see on my instagram stories and snapchat I had quite a good time last weekend. Who wouldn’t in such an amazing city?
I had the chance to go to London, Yeeeeees, the city of Fish and Chips, fancy tea time moments, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace and Mr Bean.

I had to wake up at like 5 am to make sure I wouldn’t miss my train.
So once arrived at the station I was reunited with my mother who went with me on this amazing trip. Finally we had some quality time together!
Once arrived in London we got awaited by our driver who took us to our hotel.
We stayed in the Mondrian London Hotel, a 5 star design hotel located on the Upper side.
The Mondrian (designed by Tom Dixon) is inspired by the glamour of a 1920’s ship, it has an exclusive rooftop bar, art deco interiors, luxury rooms and an elegant and very very relaxing Spa and oh not to forget, it has a cinema!

After unpacking our bags we took a cab to the city center to get something to eat. After our small brunch we headed to the touristic and more historical part of the city to do some sightseeing and take some outfit shots in front of those typical London buildings.
Our first series of pictures were supposed to be in front of the Big Ben, but due some Japanese difficulties we had to cancel and move our productions elsewhere.(read : way too many Japanese/Chinese tourists).
So we decided to go somewhere else, a more calm neighborhood where we could take some nice pictures.

I was wearing a navy coat with some navy chinos and a beautiful grey sweater. My shoes are Fratelli Rosseti.

After a quite difficult but fun shooting we headed towards Harrods for some shopping.
A couple of hours and a lot of window shopping later we went to the top floor for a nice lunch at The Georgian restaurant.
When we had finished our lunch we went back to our hotel to take a nap because we  were really tired. It was already 16H30 when arriving at the hotel so we could sleep for like 1hour before going to the bar and restaurant.

Before going to the restaurant we had a fancy cocktail in the bar downstairs in the hotel.
The bar was called Dandelyan and is famous for their cocktails ! They got 3rd in the world championship ! It was time to head to the restaurant because we were starving !
We were invited to the Barbecoa, the meat restaurant of British chef Jamie Oliver and  I have to tell you guys it was DELICIOUS. The best chicken wings and spare ribs I’ve ever tasted! Friendly staff, nice food and really affordable, definitely a must visit when in London!

After a busy day of sightseeing, shooting, shopping and eating we went back to our hotel. Tired but very satisfied.

The next morning it was already time to go, we had to check out before 12am so we had breakfast at the hotel and packed our bags. Since our train was at 7pm we had some time to do some shopping again and make some other pictures.
We went to Piccadilly circus for some outfit pictures, but even here we realized it was impossible to take some decent pictures. We searched and found that typical spot a few roads from Piccadilly circus. It had that typical front door and a red phone booth! So pretty perfect!

Here I am wearing a Navy blazer and grey pants, all State Of Art. Shoes are Fratelli Rossetti.

After our shooting and some shopping we went back to our hotel because it was unfortunately time to go back home and we had a train to catch.

We arrived in Brussels at 10pm , again very tired but oh so happy about our weekend.
I am more than happy about this “mother and son” weekend and a BIG BIG thanks to State of Art and Pravda Pressroom (lots of kisses to Valerie, who will read this for sure ;)) for the trip !

Hope you liked my little “diary” and don’t hesitate to share your thoughts !!
