I bet your weekend wasn’t as fabulous as mine…
Last weekend i was invited with some other bloggers for La Nuit by Sofitel at the Sofitel Grand Ducal in Luxembourg. A night with great people, food and music. And let me tell u already it was a night and weekend to remember.
LA NUIT BY SOFITEL
La Nuit by Sofitel is a new clubbing concept for the urban traveler looking for exceptional experiences and people. It’s a perfect mix of culture, design and gastronomy with not to forget exceptional music. This year’s edition was with Nathalie Makoma , a Dutch Singer with some exceptional and huge vocals and the most crazy hair i’ve ever seen and with DJ Christal Empire.
SOFITEL LE GRAND DUCAL LUXEMBOURG
Sofitel Le Grand Ducal is one of the 2 5 star hotels in Luxemburg that opened in 2008. The main goals of Sofitel is to open hotels all over the world on the most special and beautiful places. Sofitel is also the only luxury hotel chain that has hotels in 3 cities where the European institutions are located ( Brussels, Luxemburg and Straatsburg).
The hotel is just a few steps away from the historical center, that is listed in the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO. It’s close to the train station , airport and and shopping area (with the most beautiful shops). With his 8 floors , the hotel can be seen by far and peaks out above the Alzette & Pétrusse valleys, the perfect location if you tell me.
ABOUT THE ROOMS
All rooms where designed by Philippe Capron with a clean and modern style. Comfort and beauty go hand in hand in these rooms. The concept supports on smooth lines, natural and noble materials like glas and wood. With it’s quiet and peaceful it feels like coming home.
All rooms are equipped with “MyBed” , a unique sleeping concept by Sofitel which combines softness and support. Soft matrasses, quilts and pillows, all filled with down & feathers which results in endless sleeping and not wanting to leave your bed. Really we could stay in bed all day and watch some netflix.
The bathroom is a combination of wood and marble, which screams luxury! The giant shower in the middle of the bathroom is in semi-transparant glass and just like the bed you can stay in there for hours, so relaxing…
Forgot your shower gel and shampoo? Well no worries shower products are provided by HERMES (how nice is that ?!).
PS: the hotel has as 24/24 roomservice 😉 , so when feeling hungry you can always call for some spaghetti or croque monsieur. All delivered in max 20 min with a big smile.
RESTAURANT & BAR
The eight and top floor of the hotel is fully committed to the panoramic restaurant Top Floor, which offers breathtaking views of the historic center of Luxembourg
The interior of this restaurant is elegant and fashionable, with mainly black and silver tones combined with black lacquered wood accents.
In Addition to the restaurant three dining rooms are available to guests, with an intimate atmosphere for business or personal meals.
The breakfast at the hotel is just perfect, there is everything you need to start your day. A huge choice of fruit, bread , wafels, cheese,… You can have it at the top floor while enjoying the view , or just cosy in your room. (TIP : Till 3am you can fill in what u want for breakfast and at what time you want it to be delivered in your room)
The Coco Mango-laungebar is like the restaurant on the 8th floor of the hotel.
The bar is open from monday to saturday from 10:30 am till 1am, socialites and vip’s love the bar so much for his location, atmosphere, coctails and music.
