This years fashion show took place at the Louis Vuitton Foundation on the outskirts of Paris. Instead of using the brand new venue , which housed his show last season, Nicolas Ghesquière chose to use some geodesic domes on the foundation’s back lawn.
Inside the domes, guests as Michelle Williams, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian & Kanye West and our Belgian Singer Stromae were treated to a collection that’s slightly on the edge of future chic.
This season , instead of looking back , Ghesquière showed a collection that stretched our imaganitation, where high -tech fabrics and luxe materials combined to create a hyper-realized “mélange” of sexy cool clothing that still maintained a casual chic nonchalance.
The show started with a HUGE statement coat , a fluffy one ( i love to say that word) a white sheepskin oversized model, and an even bigger statement bag ( that looks a bit like a beauty case/mini trunk). This all was followed by more fur coats and jackets with even more boxes/bags , and leather skirts before the designer gave us a good look of what was going on underneath.
Ribbed knitwear with sculptural hemlines and lozenge-shaped openings across the chest of tops, they looked very smart and sexy.
Even hotter were the lingerie-inspired silk dresses and tops with dramatic black triangles that were highlighting the bosoms.
No Louis Vuitton without the Damier print , and this time the print was references in the show’s tweeds, while some shimmering jacquard dresses with jellyfish motifs pulled this explorative collection in an interesting underwater world direction.
My other favourite outfit is the oversized grey sweater with the with flower skirt combined with a pink LV clutch !
